Cannes Shore Excursions: Monaco, Nice and Cannes in One Private Day

Most of our guests arriving in Cannes by ship choose one day above all: Monaco, Nice and Cannes. Riviera Come True meets you at the tender landing with a local French guide and a luxury 8-seater van reserved for your party alone, and takes you east to the Principality and Nice before bringing you back to Cannes. Every tour is fully customized to you: it is your day, and everything is possible. Your day is designed personally around your wishes. For cruise guests, we will always do what it takes to bring you back to your ship at least one hour before departure or the last tender.

How do you come ashore in Cannes?

Most cruise ships cannot dock in Cannes. They anchor in the bay and tender passengers into the Old Port, at the foot of Le Suquet and a short walk from the Palais des Festivals. Only small ships, under about 150 meters, can dock at the Quai du Large. The Old Port is being redeveloped, so the exact landing point can change from one call to the next. Send us your ship’s name and we will confirm where your guide will meet you.

Cannes now regulates cruise traffic closely: since January 2026 the city limits cruise passengers ashore to 6,000 a day and restricts calls by the largest ships. Your guide is waiting at the landing, and the plan already allows for the tender at both ends.

What can we see on a Cannes shore excursion?

  • Monaco: the Prince’s Palace, Monte-Carlo and Casino Square.
  • Nice: the Old Town, the Cours Saleya market and the Promenade des Anglais.
  • Eze: the medieval village on the Middle Corniche between Nice and Monaco.
  • Cannes itself: Le Suquet, the Forville market, the Croisette and the Palais des Festivals.
  • Antibes and Saint-Paul-de-Vence: both within about 30 minutes of Cannes.
  • The Esterel: the red cliffs and coves of the Corniche d’Or, west of Cannes.

Cannes shore excursion ideas

  • Monaco, Nice and Cannes, full day. The day most of our Cannes guests choose. We drive east first to Monaco for the Palace and Monte-Carlo, stop in Nice for the Old Town and the Promenade des Anglais on the way back, and finish in Cannes with Le Suquet and the Croisette, close to your tender. Eze can join the day if you wish.
  • Cannes, Antibes and Saint-Paul-de-Vence. The western Riviera’s three great names in one relaxed day.
  • Cannes on foot, then the Esterel. Le Suquet and the Forville market walking, then the coast road through the red cliffs.
  • Hill villages. Mougins and Saint-Paul-de-Vence, with lunch on a terrace far from the crowds.

The secret spots of Cannes

Most visitors walk the Croisette and leave. The Cannes we show you begins in the lanes of Le Suquet, continues at the Forville market and ends at viewpoints in the hills where the whole bay opens below. On a longer stay, the Lérins Islands are a short boat ride offshore: Sainte-Marguerite and its fort, or Saint-Honorat, where monks still tend their vineyards.

  • No wasted minutes. No stop-and-go, no tourist traps and no commission stops, and no perfume or chocolate factory or olive mill unless you ask for one.
  • Proven. More than 300 five-star reviews on Tripadvisor, and discretion is part of everything we do.
