How do you come ashore in Saint-Tropez?

Saint-Tropez is a tender port: its harbor belongs to the yachts. Cruise ships anchor in the gulf, about one nautical mile out, and the port authority lands all cruise passengers at the Estacade in the New Port, a short walk from the Old Port and the heart of the village. Your guide meets you at the landing.

The village is compact, but the peninsula behind it is not, and in high season its roads can be slow. We sequence your day so that the time goes to Saint-Tropez, not to traffic, and we will always do what it takes to bring you back to your ship at least one hour before departure or the last tender.

What can we see on a Saint-Tropez shore excursion?

  • The Old Port: the painted facades, the yachts and the cafes of the waterfront.
  • La Ponche: the old fishermen’s quarter and its tiny beach, behind the port.
  • The Citadel: the 16th-century fortress above the village, with views across the gulf.
  • The Annonciade Museum: the painters who discovered Saint-Tropez, in a former chapel on the port.
  • The Place des Lices: plane trees, pétanque and the Provençal market on Tuesday and Saturday mornings.
  • Ramatuelle and Gassin: the perched villages of the peninsula, among vineyards.
  • Pampelonne: the famous beach, for a long lunch by the sea.

The secret spots of Saint-Tropez

Step two streets back from the port and Saint-Tropez becomes a village again. La Ponche at the end of the day, the quiet paths around the Citadel, the viewpoints of Gassin over the gulf and the vineyard lanes of Ramatuelle are the places your guide will show you, away from the waterfront crowds.
